Watch BETWEEN THE LINES
Romance | LGBTQ+ | Coming-of-Age | Comedy | Short Film
Sypnosis: It is autumn in New York, a season of changing leaves and flickering streetlights. Mia, a daydreamer in her early 20s who often loses herself in her own imagination, finds herself drawn to the quiet sanctuary of a cozy bookstore. Inside, she is greeted by Anto, a whimsical and charismatic bookshop clerk whose presence is as inviting as the stories on the shelves. Their warm and lighthearted encounter sparks an unexpected connection that lingers long after Mia leaves the shop, prompting her to confront her inner feelings and the uncertainties of her heart. Over the following weeks, she frequently passes by the bookstore, caught in a cycle of hesitation as she struggles to process her newfound emotions. The cinematic journey explores the quiet tension between silence and speech. Eventually, Mia musters the necessary courage to return and reconnect with Anto, moving past her fears and setting the stage for their next chapter, together. This film captures the essence of young love and the bravery it takes to read between the lines of our own desires.
