Emerald – A Lesbian Short Film

Set against the scenic Mornington Peninsula, Sapphire is an intimate LGBT short film exploring the complexities of teenage self-discovery. The story follows sixteen-year-old Saffie, whose routine summer holiday takes an unexpected turn as she grapples with surfacing emotions for a new friend.

Starring Mackenzie Mazur, Tameika Allen, Tom Potter, and Adele Szaters, the film features an evocative soundtrack by Ritt Momney. This project was made possible by a dedicated crew who brought this coming-of-age journey to life last summer.
