AutoMate – (Lesbian Short Film)

Set in the near future, AutoMate is a sci-fi LGBT short film exploring connection in the digital age. When Sam (Katie Stuart) and Riley (Alex Duncan) match on a high-tech dating app, they are forced to navigate their stark personality differences. Drawing inspiration from Black Mirror and Before Sunrise, the story investigates how technology shapes modern romance and personal purpose. As the two women challenge each other’s perspectives on the future, they discover what it truly means to bond in the 21st century. This poignant drama features the song “Mermaid” by frankiie to close out their journey.
