Mary (2023) | A Lesbian Short Film

Mary (2023) is a poignant queer short film exploring a young woman’s journey toward self-acceptance and embracing her sexuality. Created by filmmaker Mya Brown as part of an acting dissertation, the project examines queer theory and challenges the “bury your gays” trope. Written, produced, and starring Brown alongside Migle Mazeikaite, the film offers an authentic perspective on the LGBTQ+ experience.
